"If thou do love him, cut out thine own tongue
Lest it betray him."
400 years after its first performance, Relief Theatre is proud to bring
this tale of love, duty, and betrayal to the stage once more, with an exciting new production!
Forbidden on pain of death to marry again by her incestuous brothers,
the young widowed Duchess of Malfi is forced to conceal her illicit
relationship with her steward, Antonio. Life at court is claustrophobic
and perilous, with the couple's every move monitored and each act of
betrayal bringing her brothers ever closer to discovering her secret.
This play will be performed at Augustine United Church from 26th-28th March at 7:30pm, tickets are available at the below link. Hope to see you there!
